Holidays with Family
Wonderful holidays at our house. As some of you know I am Messianic and my husband is christian. So our kids get the best of both worlds. We did our chanukah prayers,as well as were able to have a huge get together with my cousins and friends. Since we are still staying in the loft ,we had tons of space to have everyone come to the house and just be together. I had my godkids come over and spend the night as well as had a nice sized birthday celebration for my husband. We had a wonderful time. We didn't get a tree this year, which is great for me since I really don't enjoy the clean up ,and the kids could of cared less which was great. They were just exstactic to get gifts as most kids are. My kids enjoyed it all. We had a grand X-mas dinner with family and my husbands best friend. It was great. I hope everyone was able to enjoy their holidays as much as we did. I have so many pics I would love to share, but still have a messed up computer. I should of asked for one over the holidays huh!LoL! Well we are looking forward to tomorrow night. A new year and getting to make new changes. We are looking forward to starting our horizon workbooks starting next week. We also picked up some fabulous magic tree house books. We are getting ready for our Feb co-op meetings and also starting on some of our new history booklets. We also have some science projects we are working on. One is to grow an herb garden and another is to grow some corn in a flower pot. We have also made some homemade finger paints and clay again. It will be great I am excited already. We are working on getting a breakfast menu going for my older kids to begin learning how to use the oven by themselves. I am looking forward to that indepenance teaching. My second oldest loves the thought of touching food and making something out of it that taste good. Cooking is a huge part of our family. We love to cook. I strive to have the home setting my grandma has had in her home since I was little. Well talk to you next year, lol! Sounds soooo long! Blessings and happy new year to you all.

Our Latest
Well we are making another move or should I say we've made another move. We are back in PA. Yes! I said back in PA. I am loving the new place ! Once again the move was work related. My husband was given a job opportunity that was just irresistable and we could not turn down. It is great being down here again. It has only been a little less then a year in NY,but we made some extrodinary HS friends down their. Which we will be keeping in touch with Lord willing for a long time. We are near the same area we were in before we moved. And yet we went for a walk to get reaquainted and it seemed like we haven't been here in such a long time and had moved somewhere new. But we are here for a good long time. Can't say forever cause things just seem to come up outta the blue and then we're off again. Lol! But this has taught my kids such wonderful life lessons and also introduced them to such wonderful opportunities that only a HS lifestyle could give us. It is wonderful to see the things the Father puts in your path and brings you through. Just wonderful! We are just settling in ,after arriving last week. So far we have grocery done and some serious organization going on. I never just how many books we had until we started emptying out our storage. And just how much we use them all. I know all you HS moms know what I am talking about. But oh,how I love my HS books. My kids are looking forward to starting cooking lessons, which I will be giving them this week coming. First thing on the menu ,lemon poppy seed bread , a breakfast muffin I love ,which has eggs, turkey sausage and cheese. It melts in your mouth. Then on to a triple chcolate quick loaf and some cheese mash potatoes and steak. Yes ,I trying to teach them full meals that I won't have to worry about them ever going hungry cause moms not home. And yes my boys will know how to prepare dishes so that they can every once in awhile say hunny I'll make dinner tonight. Well, that's all for now I hope to share some pictures with you all soon of our cooking lessons. Blessings. !

Archery Fun!

We are just having a blast! The boys started their archery classes and my great news is my oldest daughter A has decided to join.Which if you don't know my girly, girl she does not do sports and this is the very first sporty thing she does.It is wonderful.!This is a pic of the boys first day of class.I will try to post up a more current pic of all them next posting. Our homeschool year is off to a good start ,so far so good.We are expecting our new curriculum to come in the mail soon.We are using Abeka for science, english and some supplementals for health. Then for math we use saxon and for SS we use Bob Jones. So it should be fun.Abeka we love because it can be used freely and doesnt require any comittment to the textbooks. It can be done independently and well as together. They give tons of opportunity for hands on projects which is what we like.Well ,now for more current lessons, this weeks science experiment is going to be Growing Edible Crystals by;Belinda Mooney. The project can be found on www.learningtreasures.com I love this site. This project is so simple and yet takes days, lolol! But should be fun none the less.We will try to put up pics of the results after we are done.Well hope you all check the site she is great. And enjoy the fun!!!Blessings.

Fresh Homeschool Year
Hi everybody,
Sorry I have not blogged in a while.I just wanted to share some very in expensive crafts we purchased at Micheals craft store here in NY. They were these adorable pompom insects. We used them for our science lesson.each of my kids choose an insect of their liking. My boys choose spiders,of course cause their boys, and my girls choose a lady bug and bumble bee,of course cause their girls.Well they came out great and needed close to no tools to make. The package came with all the tools needed except glue.It was great.Took about half an hour to make. They turned out wonderful.I will post pictures this week. The totel cost for each bug was about $2 each.I think that was the best part.Well talk to you soon.Blessings.
