Lastest in our Home

Well as you know I have four awesome kids. Well all four are entering into new stages in their lives. Some are taking those stages head on with not many worries, while others are taking change very hard. My oldest ds is having what I have come to understand as placement issues. He is a 13 year old youngman who is in the body of a 16 year old. His body has always matured faster while his mental maturity has always been correct for his actual age. However he is now battling with how he feels about all this. At times he can be extremly mature while other times it seems he wants to regress. But we have decided that with plenty of conversation and more encouragement he will come to accept that while he looks much older he does not have to feel obligated to act or forced to mature to quickly, and instead enjoy his youth and grow with time. My second oldest ds is actually just fine with change and has a very good thought process about it not meaning he has to "grow up" to soon. He however does not have the looking older atribute my oldest has, therefore can embrace it much simpler. Then there is my third and oldest dd who completely sees puberity as pure evil and wants no part of it. However as we all know we can't always choose that. Unfortunetely growing and physical change are just A part of life. So instead of going down the "suck it up Sally " road like I was directed to do. I have decided to help her embrace and cherish this time of coming into ones own by co-journaling the experience with her and encouraging her to see it as a wonderful experience. So we have contacted an artist who does beautiful feminie looking art, which my daughter loved because she's a girlie girl, and to make this experience more special for the both of us , she will be painting something special for us to share. So we are excited! My youngest is still in her I'm the baby so their mode and from what she says has no interest in leaving that place anytime soon. So she is what you would describe as content. Lol! So I will try to post up how our adventure through growing pains goes as new things arrive. Til then blessings and shalom to you all.

Artistic Flow week

That's right this seems to be my childrens week of just random artistic expression. They have been painting on almost anything possible. Just random objects , ppl, or places and I must say it has been wonderful to see them take on an interest without being ask "can you please paint a picture expressing this". I'm all for this jolt of creativeness that mom has no need to be hands on with so that they can go ahead and enjoy themselves. Just marvalous. Blessings.

Train tracks

GeoTagged, [N40.02804, E76.30094]

Just wanted to share the wonderful creativeness of my dd. They created this train track while waiting for there brothers guitar lesson to be done. They love building these tracks and I must say I love seeing then being creative and working together to create something they are both going to enjoy. The way they work together to come up with solutions for the track to work is wonderful. Just wanted to rant about a joyous mom moment. Those with multiple children will understand my joy. So many blessings to all those with wonderful creative children. Blessings.

Relleno de papa

Relleno de papa are a traditional Spanish fried food. They are potatoe balls with meat in them. We love them! I have helped my granma make these for years and decided to make them alone for the first time in my life. I must say they came out wonderful. I just thought I would share this with you because I'm very proud of myself. I feel like a piece of my fantastic grandma will always be around even G-d forbid the day she passes. So thank you mom for the wonderful recipes. Xoxo <3

Kitchen Project

This weekend we will be making our second attempt to complete the kitchen as well as our staircase banister. I look forward to being able to complete the painting so I can finally finish the decorating process. I'm also looking forward to putting new desk areas in the front room on the first floor so that it can be our designated office/school/art/and reading area. Yeah, that's how we do things here in this five bedroom ,three level house, lol. I am also interested in getting another kitchen table. We've had our table for years and it's time to see it go. I've got these very pretty plates I want to hang up that my mom gave me. I also have some baskets I want to use and a new shelf my mom gave us for the microwave. So I'm looking forward to seeing everything in it place and done so that I can move on with other household projects. Hope everyone is have a great week. Blessings.

Extra Curricular Activities Time

It's that time of the year. The summer bares down to it's end. The kids form into the new curriculum or non-curriculum. Lol! And the fall activities begin to take way. This year will be a full year. We have four children which whom are causing mom to age, lol! And in turn growing as well. Therefore there are more schedule settings as well as organization attempts occurring in our home as well. This year we have karate, ballet & tap, guitar and piano lessons going on. We also have some plans for volunteering for the humane league going on in the coming months. We have three field trips planned in the coming months. So yes we are very busy. I am a huge fan of planners and all things organizational. However my kids do not understand moms need for these things in her life. Although I will freely admit that Im as disorganized as the next person at times even with all these wonderful tools I have available daily. Nonetheless I still have an organizational goal in my life even with embracing the kaos. So kudos to those enduring the wonderful school year ahead. I dont know about you but I love knowing my kids are filling their days with the things they most want to do. It's fantastic. So enjoy your fall as well as the other seasons to come and what they may bring. On the top is a pic of my dd's tap class. She has been taking different forms of dance for the last 5 years and loves it. 
